Sports analyst Craig Carton never misses a chance to criticize Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott. Whether it’s his poor performance or lack of identity as a quarterback, Carton always keeps his opinion right on the desk. But this time, it seems like he has gone too far.
As the news followed, Prescott has recently shared the news of his girlfriend Jane Ramos‘ pregnancy. This ought to be the most special moment for the quarterback, but Carton has planted a shady seed in it.
On a recent episode of “The Carton Show,” the Fox Sports 1 commentator called his news a distraction for Prescott. Carton said:
I’m a big fan of fatherhood. I’m blessed with four beautiful, healthy children. You guys have kids as well. This is a terrible distraction now for Dak Prescott. He’s not married, right. So now I gotta question if she’s a gold digger. She might not be. I gotta question it right? He’s got everything going right. The last thing you need now is a distraction.
This has gotten fans too angry, as they too believe this comment on the most special moment of Prescott’s life was a low blow for the analyst. Throughout this season, the quarterback has led his team to a total of eight victories and has been better over. He has logged 259 for 370 for 2,935 yards along with 23 touchdowns and 6 interceptions.
With his numbers, Carton’s comment seemed even more provocative. He is facing the consequences all over social media by facing backlash from the fans.
As the Cowboys’ star quarterback Dak Prescott announced the news of expecting his first child with his girlfriend Romes, the fans have given nothing but love and blessing to them.
They didn’t even expect any such comment made on this matter as it was very special. That’s why when Carton put forward his strong opinion, it caught many fans off guard. They believe that this time, Carton went too far and he should be fired from his job. Or at least issue an apology addressing Prescott and his girlfriend Romos.
One fan commented, “This is disrespectful asaf!” Another wrote “Dak in the MVP race but yes let’s go ahead and shift the conversation to concerns over that baby due after the Super Bowl.” Here are some of the other reactions:
Carton’s timing on this matter was also bad because it hadn’t been even a week since the news came out.
