Los Angeles Lakers’ superstar LeBron James recently gave his teammates a tour of his Home Court Museum showcasing his life before and after joining the NBA. During the visit, James stumbled upon a rare photo featuring himself and basketball legend Michael Jordan from a historic scrimmage before the 2003 NBA season.
The scrimmage match between LeBron and Jordan was supposedly before the 2003 NBA season, which also happened to be James’ debut season. The photograph depicted the two legends sitting next to each other on a bench after a tiring match.
James was the No. 1 overall pick in the 2003 NBA draft and was selected by the Cleveland Cavaliers. The photograph belonged to the time when James was just starting out his journey in the league and the Chicago Bulls legend Michael Jordan had just retired from his exceptional NBA career.
The Home Court Museum is part of the LeBron James Family Foundation, which not only showcases the impressive journey of LeBron James in the NBA and his early life but also the prominent initiatives that were taken up by the foundation which includes the ‘I Promise School’ and ‘House Three Thirty’.
Lakers led by LeBron James lost to the 76ers by 44 points
As usual, James has been the talk of the town since the onset of the NBA regular season. The superstar has been on a streak of breaking records, including being the first one to score 39,000 career-high points and going above and beyond by breaking the record to play the most minutes in a match. But in a recent matchup against the Philadelphia 76ers on Monday, the Lakers lost to the team in 94-198.
Despite LeBron’s impressive performance, the Lakers had to take in a tough beat from the Sixers with the defending MVP Joel Embiid scoring an exceptional 30 points in a triple-double while his teammate Tyrese Maxey dropped 31 points including eight assists.
The Lakers had a tough beat with no player able to get in points and James was the highest scorer by dropping 18 points in 30 minutes of game time whereas the Lakers forward Anthony Davis had contributed 17 points in a game time of 32 minutes. The LA Lakers are set to have their next matchup against the Detroit Pistons.
