Local Mother Speaks Out Against School Bullying
A concerned mother is speaking out against bullying after her son was targeted at his school. The mother, who wishes to remain anonymous to protect her son’s identity, said that she noticed a change in her son’s behavior in the past few weeks.
“He used to be outgoing and happy, but now he’s withdrawn and quiet,” the mother said. “I knew something was wrong, so I talked to him about it and he told me that some of his classmates have been making fun of him and saying hurtful things.”
The mother added that she is frustrated with the school’s response to the situation. “I’ve talked to the school about it, but it feels like they’re not taking it seriously. They keep saying that it’s just kids being kids, but it’s not okay for my son to be treated this way.”
She also mentioned that the bullying has taken a toll on her son’s mental health and hopes that speaking out will lead to a change in the school’s approach to handling bullying.
“I want to make sure that no child has to go through what my son has experienced,” the mother said. “It’s not just kids being kids – it’s hurtful and harmful, and it needs to stop.”
The school has yet to comment on the situation, but the mother hopes that by bringing attention to her son’s experience, it will lead to a safer and more inclusive environment for all students.
