The New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers has earned more respect and love after he was subjected to an Achilles Tendon injury in the very first game of the 2023 season. A bunch of NFL enthusiasts had the fear that the injury would end his career permanently. Concerning his age, some of them also predicted that he would go for retirement.
However, Rodgers is on the way to prove every doubter. He had a successful Achilles Tendon surgery and after that; he went to a rehabilitation center. With successful rehab sessions, the QB indicated signs of an early return to the field.
In a recent episode of the Pat McAfee show, Rodgers shared his experience with the rehabilitation center. The QB said he had some beautiful experiences at the rehab. In addition to this, the veteran also acknowledged the difficulties of being distant from his team throughout the season.
It is awful in most of the days. I think you have to find some beauty in the midst of it.
Rodgers further added:
A lot of people have said I really have it for a reason. That is a calling career. I just never really subscribe to that specific thought process. I believe life is happening all the time. Not happening to me, it is a victim mentality. Life is happening and all we can do is to determine how we respond to the experiences that are going on.
The Jets are dearly missing the services of Aaron Rodgers. Backup quarterback Zach Wilson failed to mark any significant difference for the team and has been replaced ‘again’ from the starter position. Tim Boyle is set to be the primary QB for the Jets from week 12, as Wilson failed on multiple occasions, despite receiving suggestions from Rodgers ahead of important games.
Aaron Rodgers gave honest thoughts on the rehab process
Despite hardships, Aaron Rodgers had some good experiences at the rehab and shared his thoughts on them. He also thanked the people for whom he had those sets of experiences. The 4-time league MVP also said the injury was responsible for these experiences.
Overall it's been difficult. In the midst of all there have been some beautiful experiences that I have had. These things would not have happened If would not have been injured. Thanks to the people who stepped up when I was going through the sadness and frustration of this injury. This is not how I thought my destiny would go this year. But life is how you respond to the adversities.
Many speculations suggested that Rodgers would be returning to the field within two months of his surgery. The Jets are in dire need of his skills, amidst the already-gone hopes of this year’s playoffs.
