The most recent edition of the white-and-gold brand was yet another episode of exhilarating wrestling. The show featured a number of exciting matchups and some notable appearances from main roster superstars. Nonetheless, it also saw the return of a 24-year-old rising superstar to NXT. The name in question is none other than Nikkita Lyons.
The Lioness of WWE made her first-ever television appearance on NXT programming in almost 10 months. The 24-year-old had been out of action owing to ACL surgery. Although the WWE Universe finally got a glimpse of the superstar, Lyons wasn’t there for a wrestling appearance. Instead, the young superstar stood beside the NXT universe. Later, she took to her X to address her NXT appearance.
Breaking silence on her first-ever NXT appearance in nearly 10 months, the 24-year-old conveyed a one-liner message to the WWE Universe. The superstar extended her gratitude to the fans for supporting her through thick and thin. She also mentioned that she had missed the WWE fans during her absence.
THANK YOU ALL FOR THE LOVE. (Lion emoji) I MISSED YOU SO MUCH (heart emojis)

Moreover, Lyons has yet to be cleared to get back in the ring. Earlier, it was indicated that the superstar could be out for over a year to heal completely. It has already been ten months since Lyons’ road to recovery began. Thus, the superstar is almost nearing complete recovery. She would likely be ring-ready by early 2024. Moreover, Lyons gave a sneak peek of her upcoming music album a few days ago.
Nikkita Lyons ends her 10 months long sabbatical from WWE Programming
In a short span of two years since joining WWE, Nikkita Lyons has made a name for herself in the white-and-gold brand. However, this year has not been very favorable for the up-and-coming superstar. Lyons had to miss the majority of the 2023 NXT programming due to ACL and meniscus complications. But the superstar just ended her 10-month absence this week.
On the November 28 edition of NXT, the developmental brand aired a promotional hype video of the 24-year-old. They showcased Nikkita Lyons’ 10-month road to recovery and noted that the superstar has yet to fully recuperate. It was also confirmed that she would be returning to NXT sooner rather than later.
Later, the hardcam panned to the 24-year-old, who was standing through the audience at the Florida-based show. Blowing flying kisses to the fans, Lyons declared that she was coming back real soon. The young superstar last appeared in NXT on the January 31 edition of the show. She was blindsided by a mystery attacker in the parking lot. Blair Davenport was revealed to be the attacker who put the former on the shelf.
